Absolutley, but they need to get a court order to do so, which they probably have or will. Unless both parties agree to a specific arrangent, the creditor is due the money owed as set by the terms of the original contract.

Can the collection agency garnish my check is i skipped a payment but then made two payments and be came current with my agreement with them?

Depending from state to state, most collection agencies cannot garnish your check unless you have signed for them to do so or they have a court order to do so. If you have signed I believe you can still rescind that agreement if you are current on payments. You can consult an attorney free of charge over the phone if necessary, find one in your area.

I am a Kidney transplant recipient with on Medical Insurance and have a doctor trying to garnish my wages for back surgery and I can not pay, I have on going meds and other expences that can not be ignored, I really need help. ?

Unless you file with Social Security for disability for you ailments, you will unfortunately will be on the hook with the doctor who is trying to garnish your wages. Unless you are not working, you will be garnished. I know as it happened to my dad and the advice he was given was to seek SSD or else you will have to pay. Maybe you can work out a payment arrangement with this doctor to get him off your wages, it doesn't hurt to ask.
