Usually, no. A virus is a malicious piece of software and is intended either to corrupt data, capture date, or hijack your computer hardware for a purpore other that which you intended.

That being said, it is possible for a virus to modify perform operations harmful to your computer's hardware. For example, constant rebooting or changing your monitor's display to a setting it cannot support can damage or destroy the hardware. A virus can , in some instances, also overwrite firmware (ROM) which would render a piece of hardware useless.

When a computer infected with the virus, first will damage the file such as software like document, computer both local c and d, network place or other data. and also specially the memory and hardisk will slowly running nor read to access in some different part of the system unit.

A computer virus can destroy ANY software and wreck hardware. You see, the computer programmers that make viruses, called crackers (NOT hackers, as they are the good version), and they basically write programs and tell them what to do. If the crackers program a virus to multiply, it will. Destroy data on a certain network, it will. A virus does pretty much anything the original programmers want it to do.

As I was saying, crackers are the people who want to use viruses maliciously. Hackers are the good people who are paid to hack into software and computer systems to test the security so they will be protected from the people who want to hack into and destroy them.

p.s. Or you could just pull out a gun and shoot it a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times

Generally not...however,some of the older viruses such as "stoned" make the hardware (in this case processor complete the task multiple times before supplying answer causing the processor to heat up.

If cooling was already a problem because of say overclocking or poor air flow due to a blocked heat sink this extra heat could cause the processor to fail.

Some of the more aggressive ones that rewrote the boot sector (or system volume information) could render the hard drive unusable until their removal, sometimes with great difficulty .

There was also one or two that would rewrite the processor codecs, either stopping or severely limiting processor functions until it was reprogrammed.

It totally depends on the virus itself. Most viruses won't, but viruses do exist that can do this. Installing a good virus scanner on your pc (Avast for instance is a good one, and free) is the first step to avoid these risks.
