It will make it imossible to start. 2-strokes depends on a tight seal between over- and underside of the piston. A cracked piston will also disintegrate on high revs.
I have a Yamaha it175 j in which i bought it cheap and it has new piston and rings and still can kick it over by hand very low compression and it won't start of cause. Can you help he on what to do thanks.
Pull the motor apart and put sand in the top of the piston and add water put back together and fill gaps with expanding foam before u start it make sure u place water in fuel tank before starting and start it run till it turns off
When did they start making yamaha banshees
The first thing to look for is an air leak in the intake, I would start looking first for either a loose connection of carb to the rubber intake or cracked rubber .
A cracked or broken piston will cause a loss of compression, as will cracked or broken rings. The failure of a head gasket will also cause a loss of compression, as will broken, cracked or badly worn valves or valve seats. A crack in the cylinder itself (either the sleeve or the engine block), or a crack in the head itself will cause a loss of compression. A problem with the plug threads or the threads in the head (for engines that have plugs) can cause loss of compression, and injectors (for engines that have them) can leak around the threads, either because the injector threads or the threads in the head have been damaged.
lol
Yamaha
sounds like the timing is wrong.also need to do compression check for blown head gasket or cracked head.
piston rings going bad oil leaking around to top of piston so when you start the oil will burn white
Yamaha is a good brand to start with.
No.
Yamaha?
