flooded should be reconsiderd as the wrong ratio of fuel to air.to the point at one end it will not start and the other you would hydraulic the cylinder.that being said alot becomes obvious.the air filter must be clean.no air no burn.should your injectors not be atomizing the fuel the same will be true because the diesel will not ignite as a liquid under normal situations.and anytime we talk diesel engine you must have good compression and good starting system to get the necessary compression.if you have a no start situation maybe you really have a no fuel sit.does the exhaust smoke on cranking?
