What do dogs do when they are about to die?

I believe dogs do sense death or some sort of end for their dog friends. I just put down my one older lab this Saturday and for about 2 days before I did my other lab just kept coming up to me constantly and I kept thinking he had to go out because he had diareaha lately. When I took my dog to the emergency room and found she had a cancerouse tumor in her spleen and other parts and decided to put her down that night my dog was waiting for me at home and I gave him her leash and collar and he sniffed and then went and laid down.

They somewhat know they are dying, they can tell something is wrong. Sometimes if they won't eat, drink, or move for a couple days, that's a sign.
