Likely not.
On some TVs their are another set of AV inputs in the back of the TV (or front if you are using the back). So look closely around the back. Otherwise you will have to unplug whats there.
It is probably a short circuit. Check all the wiring and make sure that your master power is plugged into the outlet completely.
The setting on the TV set for your PS3 is controlled by what input it is plugged into on the back of your TV. You can not change it to VCR on some sets without also switching back to the A/V cable and losing the high resolution. I don't know of any TVs that have an HDMI plug for a VCR.
You make sure that the TV is set to the same as the PS3 is plugged into. You do not want the TV to be on the wrong setting to receive the PS3 signal from the A/V Cable you connected and the back of the TV will identify what you plugged the cable into. It should also say in and not out. You hold the Power button down for two beeps (while PS3 is off): Reset video to lowest settings.
S-video cables connect picture (such as from a DVD player) to a TV or displaying screen. They will plug into the back of your device and the other end will be plugged into the TV screen. Make sure you match up the holes in the S-Video cable.
I've had this problem before; make sure your av cable is plugged all the way in the back of your ps3 and in your tv. You might have to wiggle it some up and down or side to side, but that was always the problem with mine.
This happened to me as well. It started after a breaker blew. The way I fixed it was to disconnect the tv from a power source for about a minute, then plugged it back in. Hope that helps!
To plug in your PS3 attach the power cable to the back of the PS3. Then Plug the other end of the power cable into the Electrical socket. Finally connect the output cable to your PS3 and to your TV. Your PS3 is now plugged in and ready to use.
If you dropped a hamster on its back it would go into shock.
If you want to use the A/V cable that comes with the PS3 plug one end into the PS3 and the other end with the 3 RCA color coded plugs into any TV inputs with matching colors on the back of your TV. HDMI cables for HDTVs just have to be plugged into the HDTV and PS3.
Probably because it is not plugged in right. Check the instruction booklet for further directions cuz i dont have a clue :o) . This has happened to me before and you have to turn it off, plug it in again, make sure its correct and tv in the right setting and then turn back on.
Audio wire came loose in your tv. your tv most likely has alot of dust in it. when this happened to me two years ago i bought a small can of air and sprayed the back side of the tv and its been working fine ever since
