When anything that can respond to a magnetic force is brought close enough to the current,

Really it depends on how strenuous the exercise is. Say you are on a running machine it would take about 30-40 Minuit's, also it depends on you metabolism. Burning of calories is very variable, but sleeping burns of lots more calorie per hour than, say, a runnng machine ever could. I hope this answer came of use.
The first step one should take when a computer is running slowing is not necessarily adding software. Try removing unused programs and runnng anti-virus and anti-spyware scan to check for viruses and other malware. Also, sometimes defragging will help. There are, indeed, programs such as "PCoptimizer" which advertise they can speed up a computer, but you should use these with caution as my personal experience is that they do little if anything to help.
