Yes, but it might take a court order. Single fathers have no rights to see the child without an order, plus if a child support order is not in place, you better get it done. see links

yes see link

Will you still get child support payment if the father is on welfare?

Child support is calculated based on income of the father (or mother in such a case). If the father is unemployed his child support will still be calculated based on whatever minimum wage is in your state. The only time this does not apply is when the father is on disability. Welfare shouldn't matter.

In Colorado what are the laws for a mother who has not attempted to see her child in eight years and ordered to pay the father child support?

It is just like if the father did not see the child. He would have to pay child support. Visitation and custody are 2 separate things in the court system. Whether a parent sees a child or not, support is usually still issued. If the judge signed a support order and it is not payed, that parent can go to jail for unpayed child support.

Does a child who is 18 in Michigan have to see her father if he is still paying child support?

No. Visitation and child support are 2 separate issues and the child (although now adult) does not have to see the parent. The parent is always obligated to support the child anyway. Child support usually stops from age 18 though but in some states it can be prolonged when the child is in college.

If father gives child support yet doesn't ever want to spend time or see the child is that considered child abandonment still?

If a mother does not want child support can the father see his child?

You will still have to pay back if any owed. After you sign you won't have to pay anymore because all your legal rights to the child will be terminiated. If Mom agrees to let you voluntarily terminate your parental rights, then, no, you won't have to pay child support going forward (but will still have to pay any arrearage unless Mom agrees to forgive it). But DO NOT do this if it not what you want to do. If you want to be a father, fight for it. Get court ordered visitation, then if Mom refuses to allow you to see your child, she can be held in contempt of court.
