I just started finding eggs from my Mallards 2 days ago and moved them but now one of them is constructing a nest in the corner of her pen. I had heard that ducks only layed in the spring?

wood ducks are a very special species which actually require different things. i have owned woodies for years. no comparison to a mallard. in answer to the question- that is where she chose her nest so she wants it there. its fine theres no water nereby.
