yes a power train control module failure can cause transmission problems.
if headlights turn off by themselves after the car has been running for a while, the most likely cause of this is a defective lighting module found under the driver-side dash by the gas pedal. the module is located on the upper side of where the gas pedal is. the module costs about $500 from a ford/mercury dealership and frequently goes bad. it is manufactured by motorola.
trottle control module
It can.
get a new light
sounds like the ignition control module
What happens depends greatly on which module fails. If the engine control module (computer) fails it may cause the engine to run poorly or not at all. If the ignition module fails the engine won't start.
Could be a coil or ICM, Ignition Control Module.
Electrical short, factory defect, vibration, moisture, or accident.
An IPDM is an Intelligent Power Distribution Module. It contains the majority of your fuses and relays. It is wired through the CAN (Controller Area Network)system to the ECM (Engine Control Module) and BCM (Body Control Module). If it fails it will cause multiple codes that seem to not have any correlation with each other.
dead battery, or a bad ignition control module inside the distribureator.
it can, but i would check the ignition control module first....then the crank sensor.....
