Depends on how hard he can lie to himself. He may function in it and even enjoy it to a degree, but he will always feel the need for someone of the same sex. It is usually better for him to face the facts and stay out of a marriage that is going to mess with someone's feelings and those of any children.

∙ 7y agoYes, it happens all the time, particularly among closeted gay people who are trying to hide their true orientation. But with more tolerant societies, the incidences of a gay person hiding within a heterosexual marriage are becoming less and less common.
