Hamster cages are a good choice for a gerbil. If it has a metal pan it is a very good choice. Habitrails are plastic. Gerbils love to chew so you might see a hole in the side of it. That's what happend to mine. Hope this helps!!
depends on how big or small the hamster is.
No, never do this. Hamsters are solitary, and it may attack the gerbil.
It honestly depends on which you get. also, what kind of hamster. If you get the habitrail ovo pad, that is way too small for any hamster. if you get the habitrail ovo suits that's still a little too small but manageable. if you get the habitrail ovo loft that id the best habitrail ovo cage. if you get a dwarf hamster the suite and loft are good but the suite would have to be kaid down apposed to up because they wouldn't be able to climb up it. if you hae a syrian or teddy bear hamster than get the loft rather than the suite. if you are in the financial state i recommend getting the loft and suite OR the habitrail ovo loft and pad put together.
Well the best, finest, hamster cage is the habitrail brand they are expensive but worth it. other good hamster cage brands are crittertrail. they are the two brands that are always sold in pet stores... like: pet culture, pet value, etc ......
Habitrail creates tubes that connect wire cages and tubes together
Syrian Hamsters will kill and eat a gerbil, do not put them together in the same cage.
The first one. The second is too small for a syrian.
Yes! They can o have my hamster In a 860 square inch bin cage and it works great! Just don't house a gerbil in it because the will chew out, but a hamster will be perfectly fine!
No. They may fight. All petshops should / will keep them separate
Im getting a Gerbil and the guy at the pet store said it was fine
a rat, mouse, gerbil, guinea pig, basically any rodent
No, hamsters are solitary, and also omnivorous. A gerbil would run a great risk of being killed and eaten by the hamster.
