Yes rupture of hymen
The Hymen is amembrane that surrounds or partially covers the external vaginal opening. It forms part of the vulva, or external genitalia. The size of the hymenal opening increases with age. It is not possible to confirm with certainty that awoman is avirgin by examining her hymen. In cases of suspected rape or sexual abuse, a detailed examination of the hymen may be performed; but the condition of the hymen alone is often inconclusive. In younger children a torn hymen will typically heal very fast, in adolescents the hymenal opening does extend from natural causes and variation in shape and appearance increases In children, although a common appearance of the hymen iscrescent-shaped, many variations are possible. After a womangive birth, she may be left with remnants of the hymen, called carunculae myrtiformes, or the hymen may be completely absent [hide]

If you are not ovulating, you will not get a period. If you get a regular period then you can assume you are ovulating. Some women will bleed heavily, while others bleed lightly. Some women will bleed heavy the first couple of days and on the 3rd day on dwindle down to nothing, or, they may even miss a period or two which can be caused from stress, over exercising or poor eating habits. Some women may just spot. It's a good idea to get a yearly physical from your doctor and mention this. At 38+ you can actually start perimenopause which can cause you to bleed heavily, bleed hardly at all or miss serveral periods. When you actually get into menopause you stop having periods. Marcy
