Apparently they can communicate rather...intimately.
Without a detailed study or analysis, one can assume that sufficient communication can take place between Goats and Sheep to enable mating, mating which is successful enough to have produced interspecific ("shonkey") offspring.

sheep. you can sell the wool and make really expensive sweaters you can also make purses.
The main difference is that goats do not grow wool and do not need to be shorn annually as sheep do (except for Angora goats which are shorn twice a year). They are in different genus and cannot breed, they have a different number of chromosomes sheep have 54 while goats have 60 chromosomal pairs. Most goats have horns while sheep do not. Another difference is the tail posture, goat's tails while stand straight up (unless they are sick or frightened), while the sheep's tail will hang down and is often docked. Goats are browers that like to eat the top of plants or bushes rather than the bottoms like the sheep whom are grazers. It takes less animals to produce more milk with a cow-based dairy than a sheep- or goat-based dairy. One dairy cow will produce more milk over a period of time than one goat or sheep.
he didn't sacrifice 2 sheep, he sacrificed 1 sheep and 1 child

A goat is the adult, And a kid is the infant. An adult goat, - male or female, have two little horns which protrude from the top of the head. They have a little goatie, as well. While infants dont possess, any of these features until later on. Hope that will help. :)
Plants cannot communicate with one another.
