This all depends on the situation that is pitting golden retriever against boxer. If it's in a hunting contest, then the gold retriever would win. If it's in a guarding contest, then the boxer would most likely win.

APBT American Pitt Bull Terriers were originally bred from Pit fighting dogs they are what breeders call a "gamey" dog meaning they will please there owners to no ends and will not stop when faced with a challenge. They can fight for hours and will keep fighting till they win or die.
Also there is no physiological evidence that pit bulls laws lock that is a common myth in a ocean of pitbull myths

∙ 12y agoDespite the name and easy temperament of Goldens, they can and will fight off another dog, if it's an aggressive boxer, especially when they feel that that boxer is threatening the life of their owner. So yes, it is possible, even though dog fighting is inhumane and illegal in most countries.

Lol. Golden Retriever could only beat a Boxer if it was sick.or injured. Boxer has stronger jaws, faster, more agile and still has a fighting mentality.
Retrievers were bred to show you where the dead duck landed.
People use retrievers to train fighting dogs cause they retriever is big bit can't do much damage.
