It is highly unlikely a hamster would get his leg caught in any equipment designed for them. Also they would have to be stuck for awhile before resorting to chewing a leg off.
Buy it a bigger and better cage or get it a hamster ball.
a wheel in its cage or a hamster ball
In a hamster ball.
A hamster wheel is used in the cage and is powered by the hamster its self. A hamster ball is what you put the hamster in to exercise when you are cleaning the cage. A hamster ball is heavier so would probably go a bit slower but both are actually powered by the hamster its self so it depends on how fast it goes.
Yes, that way your hamster can go out of its cage but at the same time be safe. Don't ever leave your hamster inside the ball without supersivion.
in its cage i say. i have a hamster and i have to go to school, i feed him in the morning and i leave him in his cage, when i come back i put him into his exercise ball , and then i feed him again.
If you have a wheel in its cage then the hamster will be able to exercise by itself otherwise I would get your hamster a ball and put him in it for at least 15 minutes a day.
yes, a hamster needs alot of exercise. you should have a wheel at all times in its cage. and u should take it out of its cage for like about 20 minutes a day and put it in a hamster ball or playpen hope this helped
You should take your hamster out of its cage a few times a week, or even every day if you want to. You can put him/her in their hamster ball, a hamster playpen, or just hold them. There are a lot of ways to interact with your hamster.
get rid of the hamster or buy a cage for it!!
The two most probable sources are your hamster and you. If you know the blood isn't yours, such as from a scratch, then it is probably from your hamster. You should carefully check the cage, toys and feed/water equipment over for sharp edges; looking for areas where hair is caught can help.
Your hamster is probably bored so s/he is trying to escape. Try a run-about ball, or just try playing with your hamster more. = )
