Yes, the new bulbs will fail due to the grease of your fingerprint when they heat up.
i have dropted the bulb into the headlight and i want to remove the lens to get it out any ideas thanks
You should be able to see where the bulb housing screws into the back of the lens. You just unscrew the housing which contains the bulb. Replace the bulb carefully "DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS END OF THE BULB WITH YOUR FINGERS" it will ruin the bulb.
No. The lens diffuses the light and a bare bulb is not legal
One reason a headlight lens is cloudy on the inside is moisture getting in because the seal is not good or from a bulb hole. It can be caused from the heat of the bulb, humidity, and direct sunlight.
Take a hammer. smash the headlight assy. lens. Remove old bulb, put in new.
remove the plastic shield and unbolt two scres and the entire lens comes out don't touch the glass of the new bulb
Well, hello there, friend! Changing the headlight bulb on your Honda 300 Fourtrax is a simple and rewarding task. First, locate the back of the headlight assembly and twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it. Then, gently pull out the old bulb and replace it with a new one, making sure not to touch the glass with your fingers. Finally, twist the socket back into place and you'll be ready to light up the trails again in no time! Happy trails, my friend.
unplug the bulb, then remove the metal clips on front of headlight that secure it to the grill. pull the headlight straight out of the front of the grill. This is the best way to change the bulb as well.
Modern headlight assemblies are just lenses and are really more part of the body than they were in older cars, to replace most all headlights on modern vehicles look under the hood behing the outer headlight lens and there is a bulb receptacle that inserts into the fixture, now it varies on how to remove it from one manufacturer to the next but that receptacle will either have a locking ring or will simply turn out of the back of the lens and you can pull out and replace the bulb from there. Be careful not to touch the bulb with your fingers to help it last longer, fingerprints or oil will cause the halogen bulbs to burn out quickly.
I would not plastic lens will melt sometimes get a brighter output 45w 45w bulb
A tiny crack anywhere in the headlight assembly or a damaged gasket between the bulb and the headlight assembly can allow air to enter. Then, every time you turn on the headlights, the assembly heats up, pushing air out, then when it cools it will suck air back in. If the air going in happens to have a little moisture in it, it will condense to the inside of the lens. Do that a few times and the lens will look terrible.
It all depends on which bulb you are talking about. A headlight bulb is installed from the back of the headlight assembly. A turn signal bulb on the front is installed from the back of the lens assembly. A rear brake light/turn signal bulb is installed by taking the lens assembly off the car and pulling the socket out to replace the bulb. If you need a bulb in the instrument cluster you have to take the cluster out of the car. This is done by dropping the steering column to take the cluster out. If you want to replace a bulb in the side markers it is done by taking the bulb out of the lens assembly from the back. Tag light bulbs are installed by taking the 2 Phillips head screws out and removing the lens then pull the old bulb out and insert a new bulb. To replace a dome light bulb in the interior just pop the plastic lens off.
