Never use ammunition that the weapon is not chambered for. If in doubt, ask a gunsmith.
Have it checked by a gunsmith.
A .22 revolver takes CARTRIDGES. Which .22 cartridge will depend on what caliber the revolver was made for. A .22 LR can shoot Long Rifle or Short cartridges, and a .22 WMR uses .22 magnum cartridges. They do not interchange. There are a few .22 revolvers that have 2 cylinders, and can shoot either cartridge.
In most cases yes it will shoot in your revolver, this cartridge has been around a long time and is loaded mild due to the age of the firearms out there.
.30-06 is a 7.62 cartridge (7.62x63). That is the only cartridge which can be fired in such a rifle.
NO! the 243 wssm cartridge is completely different than the 243 Winchester cartridge. The cartridge case is much wider through the body, and has a lot sharper shoulder angle which sets the headspace on both these cartridge,s.The 243wssm is loaded to a higher pressure also.In effect you would blow the receiver up and yourself if you could get the cartridge to chamber in the breech of your rifle! Do not attempt this in a 243 Winchester chambered rifle.
The .30-06 is a rifle cartridge.
Yes, it did. I happen to own one from that time period. The .22 Short was created in 1857, the .22 Long in 1871, and the .22 Long Rifle cartridge in 1887. Smith & Wesson produced the first .22 revolver in 1857.
You can fire 32-20 ammo in a 32-20 revolver. That cartridge was used for both rifles and handguns. EARLY single action reolvers were meant for lower powered black powder cartridges, but later guns, such as the S&W Military & Police Revolver should fire any standard off-the-shelf 32-20.
I would express doubt about this project, simply because the length of the .22 magnum cartridge is longer then the standard .22 long rifle cartridge, and operates at a much higher pressure then the standard .22 long rifle cartridge.I can say that you could ask a qualified gunsmith about the project and see if he shares this view.
It is located on the rear of the cartridge. If it is a rimfire, such as .22 Long Rifle, it is in the folded rim of the cartridge. Larger cartridges, such as the 30-30, are centerfire, and the primer is located at the rear center of the cartridge.

There are any number of things NOT found in a centerfire rifle cartridge. However, what WILL be found is a centerfire primer, a cartridge case, powder and bullet.
