This has a lot of senerios. The first of which is, "what state do you live in?" In Minnesota we call them Mechanics Liens. The catch with them is that they MUST have sent a Pre-lien Notice to the homebuyer/builder prior to or within 10 days of work being started at the property. This is all assuming the "private company" you are refering to is a subcontractor or worker that did work on this new home. Look to your state for help on this one. Hope this helps.
A lien can be placed on a home for medical bills. However, it does require a written agreement or a judgement to that effect.
IF ONE OWNS A HOME & HAS A LIEN PLACED AGAINST THEM IT WOULD ATTACH TO ONE'S HOME & WHEN SOLD, THE LIEN MUST BE PAID OUT OF THE PROCEEDS.
Do you have a lien on your home? If a lien is placed on your home, you will not be able to refinance to pay back taxes.
A lien on the title to your home clouds the title -- indicates that there are monies due based on the lien -- so a future transaction will involve the lien. The lien may also be shown on your credit report.
If they hold a mortgage or a lien on the property. Home owner's associations often have required dues and if they are not paid, a lien can be placed on the property.
Yes
A letter from the collection company or creditor who reported it or a lien release form if the judgment was placed in lien against property.
I can only assume you are asking how can someone put a lien on a home in Canada? The owner of the home would have to owe you or the government a lot of money before you could put a lien on their home and even if it was a private affair I'm not 100% sure a private party can put a lien on someone's home. It's usually banks and or money owed to governments who put liens on a persons home.
Yes, it is a form of or similar to a mechanic's lien. Any money owed as a result of any service performed on or for a vehicle (and a mobile home is a vehicle with a VIN--look at the frame underneath), a lien may be placed on it.
A lien can be placed on the vehicle after due process is followed according to the law in which the incident took place.
You should receive a copy of the judgement.
