Definitely not
Before you can change it out you should wait 3 to 5 days
depends on how fast you pierce it. slow=5, fast=2
Once the piercing is 6 to 8 weeks old you can change it.
5 days is pretty new so swelling is expected. Just keep taking good care of it and the swelling will go away. You can try letting ice melt in your mouth or a warm towel. Keep talking to a minimum and dont play with the piercing.
Were you playing with it? You might have irritated it and opened the wound pretty badly, causing it to bleed heavily, either that, or they used a piercing needle gauge fairly too large for your lip piercing. I've experience piercing people with a piercing needle that's 2 gauges bigger, (For example, a lip piercing is 16g, I've pierce it with a 12gauge once) and it didn't bleed too bad, it bled for about 5-10 minutes. It shouldnt be bleeding heavily at all. Especially not for hours after getting it pierced. Go see a doctor as soon as possible before you lose too much blood
No go back and see your professional body piercer for assistance.
Depending on the person and location of the piercing, it can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months for a lip piercing to heal. After the first 2 weeks you can change the jewelry if no infection is present. Piercers use a 14 gauge needle when piercing, so you might want to down size to a 16 gauge. To test if your piercing is fully healed (this should only be done if there is no infection. Infections mean the wound is not healed), then try removing the jewelry for 5 minutes and put it back in. If you have no trouble putting the jewelry back in and the hole has not begun to close, then try leaving it out for 20 minutes. If the hole doesn't show signs of it closing, then gradually lengthen the time the jewelry is out. A fully healed lip piercing will stay pierced even after leaving the jewelry out for a few days. There will always be a small bit of discharge around your piercing. Healthy discharge will be white, not yellow or pus-like.
Once the piercing is fully healed, if the jewellery is removed the piercing is very hard to notice unless you walk right up and stare at them, at which point they will smile or tell you to back off because your gawking at them. Muffimoose93: i have 5 piercings in my lower lip i only have 2 piercings in on my right side at the moment, the back of 1 on the left side closed up...so there are 3 holes that are very noticeable, i only use 16 gauge piercings which are a very thin size and i can see the holes very clearly from a distance of 5 feet away from a mirror.
That is the normal discharge that occurs from tongue piercing, just like ear piercing discharges after they have been pierced and are healing the tongue does the same sort of thing. That will disappear is a couple of days, just be sure you are rinsing and keeping cold stuff on the piercing as often as possible.
No............ quit using the Dragon Mist
About 3 days. If ice is applied it may take less time.
it can if it gets really big but it will heal in approximately 5 days or so
