Once the piercing is 6 to 8 weeks old you can change it.
Before you can change it out you should wait 3 to 5 days
Definitely not
That is the normal discharge that occurs from tongue piercing, just like ear piercing discharges after they have been pierced and are healing the tongue does the same sort of thing. Usually about 3 days for the discomfort to ease. If the piercing is still sore after a week (5 days) then you need to alter your aftercare routine. Go back and talk to your piercer for added guidance.
it really depends on the piercing, the most common Navel (belly button) and Nose are both 6 weeks but i would leave it in at least 2 mths before you change it. whatever you dowith the navel.... Dont change it all the time it makes it grow out i figure it out lol also if you have your tongue its 1-2 weeks :) with lip and Eyebrow peircings 3 to 5 days hope this helps

That is a hypertrophic reaction. This is a reaction to an irritant, generally the over use of cleaning products and failure to rinse the piercing out correctly after cleaning. Irrigate the piercing under running water and stop using whatever you are using for cleaning the piecing , the bump will go away over the next 5 days.
