No, because reptiles and amphibians are two different species of animals. Amphibians are animals like frogs, toads and salamanders. Reptiles are snakes, lizards, turtles,...

I think what you really meant is if reptiles can live on land and in the water.

Several reptiles, like the Chinese Water Dragon (Physignathus cocincinus), the Plumed Basilisk (Basiliscus plumifrons) and a lot of turtles (especially swamp turtles) live a semi-aquatic life. They live on land and in the water.

Of course, there are also some reptiles that live only in the water, like sea snakes and sea turtles

No, reptiles are a type of species, as are amphibians. Therefore, a reptile cannot be an amphibian.

Another reason is amphibians live in or near water. Reptiles do not.
No, amphibians are a quite different classification to reptiles. Most (not all) species of amphibians and reptiles lay eggs, and different species of amphibians and reptiles may live on land or in the water, but they are quite different classifications.

Some differences between them are that adult amphibians breathe using lungs. One of the main differences between amphibians and reptiles is that juvenile amphibians undergo metamorphosis, during which they change from using gills for respiration to using lungs. Another major difference is that reptiles have scaly skin, while amphibians have moist skin, not scaly.
No, an amphibian is not a reptile. Amphibians are a part of a different class than reptiles.
While some reptiles are amphibious, none are amphibians. Herpetology, though, is the study of both reptiles and amphibians.

Is a lizard a reptile or a amphibian?

Lizards are reptiles. While some reptiles may be just as happy (if not happier) in the water as out of it (crocodiles, alligators, turtles, snakes), amphibians are biologically adapted to aquatic living (salamanders, frogs, toads). Among the more striking differences between reptiles and amphibians is their skin; reptiles have tough scales where amphibians do not - amphibians tend to produce a mucous layer to keep their skin moist (slimy).
