Friends, yes. However, one would take into consideration that out of respect for one's mate and one's friend you wouldn't want be alone so it would never be accused of something else. If you were to go to each others home and you would be alone it is sometimes best to talk outside or wait for when someone else would be there so as to remove any questions or temptations.
