The PS3 does not have a router. It can go online with an ethernet cable connected to a router or modem or with WiFi from a wireless router or modem
1. Dial-up - You use a dial-up modem in your computer to connect to the internet over a phone line. 2. Ethernet - You connect to a cable / DSL modem with an Ethernet cable, either directly to the modem or through a router. 3. Wi-fi - You connect to a cable / DSL modem with a wireless card to a router, which is connected to the modem. 4. USB - you connect to a cable / DSL modem directly with a USB cable. 5. 3G - A form of wireless internet that communicates using cellphone towers.
If you have an ethernet cable plug it into the modem and they should be connected. My Modem is connected with a router to the rest of the network and with the internet modem and is both wireless and wired
No. Your computer would connect directly to the cable modem via an ethernet cable.
The Wireless internet router is connected to your cable modem with an ethernet cable and most wireless routers also have the ability to also have wired connections along with the WiFi or wireless connections. The ethernet ports on the router are marked so you know which one to connect to the modem
You can connect your laptop to the Internet with a cable modem, sure. You will need an Ethernet cable to do that. If you want wireless internet, you will need a cable modem, and a wireless router as well.
Wireless or Wired (ethernet cable).
connect the cable modem to PC using the usb port, leaving you the ethernet porton on the cable modem to connect to the wireless router.
Yes.
Go to the store and buy a wireless router or wired router and an ethernet cable. After the router is connected to the modem reconnect whatever was connected to the modem to the router and then add ethernet connection to the PlayStation 3 if you are having wired connection. Then go to network connections on the PS3 settings menu for both wired and wireless connections.
Wireless routers have spots on the back to plug in ethernet cables. Mine has one input and 4 outputs. It may work if you plug in one wireless router to your modem and then run the ethernet cable from the out of that wireless modem to the in on the other
You have two basic options. 1.You can connect your laptop to your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port using an Ethernet cord. 2. You can connect your cable, fibre optic, or DSL modem or Ethernet port to a wireless router using a Ethernet cable. You then connect your laptop using wireless to your wireless router.
