how do I fit a new rear reflector on Peugeot 508
there is no actual drain plug on the rear diff. the fill plug is on the right side of the diff just above the gusset it takes a 3\8 ratchet to remove it then u need a vacuum pump to remove the 80\90 gear lube otherwise you must remove the rear diff cover to fully drain the rear diff also you will need a new gasket for that as well
either pump out the old diff fluid and pump in new. (pump sold at any auto parts store). or take off the plate covering the rear diff to drain. don't forget you will need a new gasket. this method is also good because you can visually inpect rear end gears. replace plate with new gasket and fill with fluid.
my rear diff went and my mechanic was able to rebuiild for 800.00 brand new I found for around 2000.00
Yes, they will fit. You may have to drill new body mount holes for the rear struts.
you need to pull your rear pumpkin(diff cover) and let the fluid drain out. When its done draining you need put your cover back on and either get a new seal or just use some silicone. unscrew the plug and fill it with diff fluid
remove rear drive shaft from vehicle.remove large nut ( pinion nut) at front of diff, which is generally hidden when driveshaft is in place.with a bearing puller remove pinion bearing, replace with new one. install new pinion seal. reinstall pinion cover and pinion nut. tighten to specified torgue.reinstall driveshaft check diff oil for proper amount
it will fit you just have to drill new motor mounts and put a Chevy rear end in the car or a ford 9inch will work
The Chrysler 300 rear struts are held in place with a retaining bolt on each end of the strut. Remove the retaining bolts and the strut will come off. Reverse the process to install the new rear struts.
if its whiny gears, banana skins,, seriously,, but it wont last long, & its not really that good for the diff. if its bearings,, lots of grease, but again, only a very temporary fix! if its the gears, they need to be re-hardened, its often cheaper to get a second hand diff head. or new gears. if its the bearings, replace them.
it shouldn't but it can be done with some new motor mounts and crap.
150, thats it w/o a new swingarm!
