Perhaps. You will have a much better chance having a nonviolent conviction expunged than a violent one but if it is a felony then it is still a slim chance. Eligibility for record sealing varies from state to state, but generally the procedure is a follows:
* Apply for record sealing in writing with the Court
* The original sentence must have been served
* The person is not facing any new charges
* The burden is on the applicant to prove that probation requirements have been fulfilled
Question is unclear. How can you have a felony record on a NON-conviction? You were either convicted of a felony or you weren't. If you weren't you're not a felon.
I have heard that you can...however, i believe you have to have a non-violent 2nd or 3rd degree. I believe you also cannot have had similar charges or new felonies added to your record.
Yes.
probably. Speak to a lawyer.....................
yes if your honest about your conviction, it didn't involve your vehicle and it was non-violent
No. A felony conviction disqualifies one from obtaining a teaching certificate in any state. Actually I know that it depends on the state as far as how their laws go. obviously if you have a violent conviction, a sexual related conviction or a drug related conviction, you would not be allowed to get a teaching certificate. I am asking however, about a non-violent, non-sexual, non-drug related crime. I had read previously that Ohio's law is that you must wait 5 years from the date of your conviction and I was just wondering if this was in fact true.
you don't without getting the charge overturned and the record expunged
The opposite of a conviction is a non-conviction. (See non-conviction)
It depends on what exactly you have on your record. Basically meaning if you have a non-violent offence.
A non-conviction may appear on a criminal record check because it reflects an arrest or charge that did not lead to a conviction, such as a dismissal, acquittal, or dropped charges. These records are maintained for law enforcement and public safety purposes. Depending on local laws, non-conviction records may be accessible to employers or other entities, although they may not hold the same weight as a conviction. Additionally, some jurisdictions allow individuals to request the sealing or expungement of such records to limit their visibility.
can I in the state of Missouri with a non violent felony conviction 10 years ago get my hunting rights back
It depends on the felony. If you have a rape or manslaughter conviction it can be hard but not impossible. If it's a non-violent felony you probably can get a waiver.
