Chevrolet's used a different bolt pattern from other GM's. An adapter would be required.
not if it is an Oldsmobile engine, Buick, Pontiac, and olds had the same bolt pattern in the 70's, different from Chevy
Nope.....Chevy will only bolt to Chevy. The other brands....Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Caddy share the same bolt patter.
The 350 Rocket from the olds is Far superior. I just put one in my Grand Prix switched from the 350 Chevy and with a 4 barrel holly carb you will notice a BIG difference.
yes if the engine and trans. are both Chevy or Buick or Oldsmobile Buick/Oldsmobile and Pontiac will inter change but Chevy has to go with Chevy
Not from the factory.
No
No difference in the engine. It is all in the trans and the rearend
Nope.....unless you possibly have a universal trans. The only thing that will bolt to a Chevy trans is a Chevy. The Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac share the same pattern with each other.
A 350 Oldsmobile engine has a different bolt pattern than the Chevrolet engine. The 350 Olds and 350 Pontiac engines have the same bolt pattern. The 350 Chevrolet and the 350 Buick engines have the same bolt pattern. Unless you have a dual bolt pattern transmission (there are some out there) in that Chevy, the Olds engine won't bolt into the Chevy transmission.
only if the trans is from an olds, Buick or Pontiac engine. The bell housing bolt pattern from these engines is different from a chev block
An olds 350 engine such as one that they put in the 1979 toronados. Don't think you could put a Chevy 350 in without major mods.
Which 350?? Chevy or Pontiac? A Pontiac engine will drop right in. A Chevy takes a lot more work.
