While the rules on who and how couples may be married vary from religion to religion or even church to church, the majority of Christian religions make no distinction between a person who has legally entered or has illegally entered a country. They will still allow the couple to undertake the sacrament of marriage, as long as the sacramental rules and procedures are followed.
However, in many jurisdictions ministers/priests etc are also able to marry a couple legally, and there will be rules and regulations that govern that process. So while you should be able to get a "church" wedding, you might not be able to be legally married in the eyes of the government.
It is a legal marriage in the US. It is not a claim to legal residency for visitor or undocumented alien though. The laws of the visitors and undocumented aliens country of origin will mandate whether it is a legal marriage there.
There are no firm figures but the latest figures quoted in the media mention figures ranging from 10 to 12 Million persons.

Undocumented or illegal aliens are unable to collect social security income even though they may have paid Social Security out of their pay checks. Also, undocumented aliens are unable to receive social security cards.
Medicaid recipients must document citizenship/legal residence in US. Medicare recipients must have 40 calendar quarters of work covered by Medicare. In other words, undocumented aliens are not eligible, although there are surely cases of such persons receiving benefits fraudulently.
Undocumented immigrants or unauthorized immigrants.
People have a few main issues over undocumented aliens. One is that they don't pay taxes yet they are still entitled to services like schools and hospitals. Another is that they are taking American jobs, but there aren't many Americans willing to pick fruit.
Catholic Charities, as with any other Catholic institution does not card people who are in need.
Technically, the Department of Labor cannot offer assistance to illegal aliens. As an undocumented immigrant, you would not be eligible for public assistance. And, if discovered, you are in danger of deportation.
