You had a job and lost it for reasons beyond your control (i.e. it wasn't your fault).
It depends on the laws and benefits of your state and country. They will be different from country to country.

∙ 8y agoNo, a person laid off after 4 1/2 months of work can't receive work-related unemployment (they would not have enough stamps), but they could get means-tested unemployment.
