It can be done, with the proper precautions, but its not recomended.
Pet snakes eat live mice or frozen mice. A snake's diet consists of mice because other animals cost to much to constantly buy for your snake to eat.
i am a snake
get a cat Get a pet snake they eat mice and it is funny to watch, or just get a mouse trap cheaper then a snake and a cat.
ask in your local pet store as most have them frozen if not they should know a place that do. p.s if your pet is a snake it would be good to give them alive mice every once and a while to stimulate them as they would hunt and eat live mice in the wild.
You could try rubbing them on a Dead Rat that you can buy in a pet store that has been frozen, sometime the different smell will encourage them to eat the mouse.
it depends on the size of the snake, when they are hatchlings they eat pinkies (newborn mice), juvenile they can eat adult mice, full grown they can eat rats (small, medium, and large).
depends on size of snake. take to pet store they will tell you.
Im sure if you have a large pet snake it will eat dead rats, just like my small corn snake eats dead mice. yeah they do.
Not neccesarily if it's a pet snake but if it's a wild snake it depends on it habitat. For my pet snake I use a fish tank gravel and want to transition into using a mulch or sand type substrate but if you go to your nearest pet store they can recommend a substrate to you .
they eat any house food.... but you can give them cheese! --melissa
Some mice are picky eaters, some are not. Most wild mice will eat anything they can get to. However, some pet mice will dig through the food bowl to find the sunflower seeds and eat only those.
if you can not provide mice, you can feed it about three small worms twice weekly. how much it will eat depends on the temperature it is stored in.
