Yes, but not very well. The small pump within a pressure washer is designed to PUSH water, not pull it- and the rate of flow is very small. It would pump a long time to move a major amount of water. The pump will also not handle dirty water very well.

How do you use a water pressure pump?

There are many different ways to use a 'water pressure pump' . Any water pump will build up pressure, this is the basic principle of well pumps, and similar. Most are 'used' by a pressure switch which turns the pump on when pressure decreases to a certain point.

Can you use bleach in a pressure washer?

Yes, bleach can be used in a pressure washer. Place the 12 percent bleach in the solvent hose in order to dispense the bleach with the water.

Pressure washer pump oil?

Depends on the manufacture of the pump which you do not list. There is no manufacturer marked on the pump. It's one of those pumps used in a high pressure water sprayer. Ie: Karcher 1750 psi. type. Can I remove any water from inside it & change it over to pump hydraulic oil through a reservior to work a small hydraulic ram? Then it is a Karcher. No, you cannot use it to pump hydraulic oil in a ram.

What type of oil is used in a 9 hp Honda gx270 pressure waSHER?

SAE 10w30 Full Synthetic oil any major brand is what to use in the engine. The water pump uses DP70 pump oil or 30w non-detergent oil.

What is a pressure washer?

Basically, a pressure washer uses pressurization to deliver a concentrated spray of water or liquid. The force of this stream enables you to deep clean surfaces. But be careful what you use a pressure cleaner on - the force of the water can harm some surfaces. A pressure washer is a machine that pressurizes enough pressure to blast out a forceful spray of water that can deep clean an area and rid it of grime and mold. Pressure washers are used by painters to peel away paint from a house.

How do wells provide water?

In artesian wells the water is forced to the surface by ground pressure. In conventional wells a pump is used to pump the water up.

What is a hydraulic ram used for?

A hydraulic ram is a cyclic water pump which utilises hydropower. It can be used as a low head hydropower source in order to generate electricity or it can be used to pump water from a low source to a higher destination. A hydraulic ram takes in water at one pressure and flow rate, and outputs it at a higher pressure and lower flow rate. It is sometimes used in remote areas where there is a source of low pressure and a need to pump water to a higher elevation than the source.

What type of pump used for water mist system?

it uses centrifugal pump type to maintain pressure of 120 kg/cm2

How do water towers work?

Water towers use the gravitational head to provide constant pressure. A pump is used to pump the water up to the water tower. If a pump was the only means to provide pressure, the pressure at your faucet would be highly variable. The outlet flow rate of a pump is limited, so it wouldn't be able to keep up with short term fluctuations in water consumption. You could build a pump system that would instantaneously keep up with varying demand, but it would be big and expensive. Instead, a small pump is used to deliver the water to the top of the water tower at a more or less constant rate. When the water is up in the tank, the pressure at the bottom of the water tower is more or less constant, equal to density*gravity*height.

Do you need to have strong water pressure to run an automatic dishwasher or does the dishwater provide its own water pressure?

It provides it's own pressure. It has it's own pump which is used to create the needed pressure to wash the dishes.

What does a booster pump get used for?

A booster pump, depending on the type can get used for a variety of things. It may be used for inflating large swimming pools, increasing water pressure in a heating system or to help save energy on existing water pumps.

What determine residential water well pressure?

The pressure is determined by the "pressure switch" typically located at the pressure tank. The switch monitors system pressure and will turn the pump off when the water pressure reaches a predetermined level. As water is used - drawn off the pressure tank - the switch will turn the pump back on at a lower pressure. Switches are typically 30-50 or 40-60 (contacts closing at the lower pressure setting and opening at the higher setting).
