Well, it really depends on how heavy your Pug is. But if it really is very heavy, I would recommend the Shallow part of the beach. But if it's medium in weight, buy or put on a dog life jacket. Available at any pet-store. Just make sure you buy the RIGHT size. If your pug is small in weight, still put on a life jacket. If your pug is a newborn or is young in age, do not let it swim.
