Possibly. If you have the time and patience, it could probably learn. Although, some dogs are independent and don't like to be bothered. So, if you have a dog like that, than you and your family would be better off if you just stick to NOT teaching your pet how to swim.

Well, it really depends on how heavy your Pug is. But if it really is very heavy, I would recommend the Shallow part of the beach. But if it's medium in weight, buy or put on a dog life jacket. Available at any pet-store. Just make sure you buy the RIGHT size. If your pug is small in weight, still put on a life jacket. If your pug is a newborn or is young in age, do not let it swim. Because it can drown, or sink really fast, cause' it is too in-experienced. Hope this helped! :)
Parents can effectively teach their child how to swim by enrolling them in swim lessons with a qualified instructor, practicing regularly in a safe and supervised environment, providing encouragement and support, and reinforcing water safety rules.
No, but they will teach you how.
So they have the ability to swim if they shouuld fall into water plus it is goood physical exercise for them
