== == == Just like humans animals can become depressed too. Its called depression. usually the animal feels alone or unappriciated so if you spend lots of time with him/her and make him/her feel happy again you wont have a depressed rabbit anymore!Answer== == Its called a sick rabbit. Animals do not feel sorry for themselves. ~ Even so, we could call it "The Bunny Blues."Rabbits CAN easily become depressed!AnswerRabbits are sentient creatures, and like humans, will most definitely become depressed if inadequately cared for. Unlike with humans, it is not given any fancy scientific name, and is simply called "depression". If they are left outside without the chance to socialize, if they are indoors yet still ignored, if they have a cage that is too small to stretch out in or is dirty, if they are without toys to entertain themselves with, all of these can lead to depression. The most common reason for depression is the death of another rabbit in the household, and they are capable of grieving. If this happens, it is essential to give them as much attention as possible, and possibly even "spoil" them a little until they recover.
do not make shout of your rabbit, or else, they will be depressed.
Yes, A person can become so stressed that they are depressed
It depends on what breed the rabbit is.
no
From not being understood it is possible to be depressed, aggrieved, sad, but not possible to be clinically depressed (medically ill).
Guinea pigs can become depressed enough to the point where they would starve themselves if the owner doesnt force feed/water them. If they are lonely(guinea pigs should be handled about one hour a day by you or a family member or they should have a guinea pig friend) or something has changed(piggies are VERY picky, if you change the food dish they can get depressed). If two piggies are together and something happens to one the other piggy with get depressed. The best way to tell if he is sick or not is to take him to a certified small animals vet as soon as you can. I hope you piggy gets better! If you only have one Guinea Pig you should think about getting another one to keep him company. When I was a lot younger my guinea pig died shorty after our rabbit died, which we think was because he was depressed and missed the rabbit (they lived together for a couple of years). :-(
Absolutely, anyone can become depressed.
will become depressed
Rabbits often become aggressive and territorial when they haven't been socialized (when they're feral), when they've been traumatised (by abuse, neglect, or a frightening incident), or when they aren't being taken proper care of (when they're unfulfilled, depressed, anxious). If your rabbit is acting this way you should spend some time studying rabbit care and behaviour; make any necessary changes to the rabbit's habitat, routine, and/or diet; and be patient, and respectful of the rabbit's feelings and personal space. See the related questions below for info and helpful links. Another reason a rabbit might become aggressive and territorial is becuase it has hit the teenage years -- in which case, the rabbit will out grow it and if not you can train the rabbit to be nice again; neutering/spaying the rabbit will also help.
