It's a f*cking shark, it can eat anything it comes in contact with. However since worms tend to avoid the beach, the odds are highly against it happening naturally.

Sharks eat everything that lives almost. But yeah It depends on whether or not it is a carnivore. The whale shark and basking shark eat plankton to survive. Other sharks like the hammerhead, great white, bull shark, and tiger shark eat flesh.
No Snapper do not eat Crayfish but they eat Kiwi and other Native animals.

when the snapper is young it wont eat because its still surrounded by the egg york so it doesnt have to eat as it gets older it will start eating. i had the same problem when my snapper was a baby:)
