You will die eventually anyway whether you swallow a snake or not.

The swallowing of a snake could be the cause of death in various scenarios such as the snake is alive and venomous and it bites you and injects venom into you.

Swallowing a dead snake is most probably safe unless it was a venomous snake and somehow you manage to get the venom into your bloodstream directly (in the stomach, your digestive juices will render the venom harmless, there are no - or VERY few poisonous snakes - I think only one or two kinds in the world).

Venom is not toxic if swallowed unless one has an open sore in the mouth or in the digestive system. It would simply be digested as a food.

They do it all the time as venom is not a poison. A human can generally drink most venoms and suffer no ill effects. However, if the same venom is injected, it can cause serious issues.

How snake is protected from venom of other snake?

snakes have fail-safes in their DNA which protects them from their own venom, in case they accidentally bit themselves. this also comes in handy, since most snakes have the same or similar types of venom. the only exception is when a different snake has a different type of venom. ie: hemotoxic or neurotoxic

Does a snake die when its venom is removed?

No, I watched a TV show where they milked the snake to get its venom. The venom is used to make antivenom, which is used to help people who are bitten. The snakes were not harmed by the process. The snake will regenerate more venom later, but it will not be able to eat in the meantime as its means of catching prey have been removed.

If a venomous snake bites its own tongue nothing would happen. Venomous animals are immune to their own venom. If two rattlesnakes of the same species fight, neither will be harmed by the venom they inject.
