That's way too young for a puppy to leave his/her mother, they should be at least 8 weeks old before they leave their mother.
As far as I know, puppy's don't need there mum to stimulate them..
Second, puppies need a lot of attention. Third,you need to show "mum" that you are responsible enough for a puppy. Lastly, you might accidentaly step on it.

it depends what breed of puppy you have and how tough it is, most puppy's can survive without its mum but it depends on how old it is, if it is just born i highly doubt that it will survive but there is still a chance like i said it depends how tough the puppy is.
