Yes.
I think you mean DVD. There is no way to load a virus onto a CD. The virus must be safely downloaded, perhaps in a zip. file and then burned onto the DVD. The victim must then install the program.
If a virus was burned to the DVD, then yes, this can infect a computer.
Yes. Anytime you download a file that has a virus, you may cause harm to your computer.
DVD writes are hardware devices and are not prone to viruses. The software that is used by computers to prepare and send data to the DVD writer can be infected by a virus.
Any file you can fit onto it.
.SRT files are the files for subtitles when a DVD is burned to computer
That's because you have burned the file to a CD and not a DVD.
Well a true virus copies itself to other files and if you have a CD in your PC, if the virus is good enough it could copy its self to their as well as other places
Yes and no. If you are writing it as data you can use any format you'd like. I suspect that you would like your disk to play in a DVD player, however, so this is not the case.
No. Formatting a disc creates a file structure that data will be written upon. However it is not necessary to format a CD or DVD, the file structure is burned onto it at the same time as the data is written.
from a website (use anti virus and anti spyware) from an email (let the anti virus scan your emails) from a pen drive/usb drive (scan with anti virus) from an infected cd/dvd (use threat fire) from the network (use a firewall)
If the DVD contains a virus, and your computer has its autorun feature turned on, then yes, it is conceivable that your computer could get a virus by just putting the DVD in the DVD drive. Its very unlikely in the case of a commercial DVD, but if it is a burned DVD, I would be careful and make sure you have an up to date antivirus program installed and running properly. There has been instances where attempts by a movie studio to copy protect their product inadvertently resulted in malicious software being installed. Google for Sony Rootkit for more information on that.
