of course nearly all mammals can die from dehydration that includes rodents
An all white rat with red looking eyes.

with it's legs
An albino rat will have no color - that is red / pink eyes, only white fur with no other pigmentation. An albino rat will have no color on their tail either, it should be pinkish. I have a white rat that I thought was albino, but as he grew older, there was some slight pigmentation on his tail, a little bit of brown/black. This means he's not a true albino, as there is pigmentation.
They definatly can be. My rat is an albino, and she's the sweetest thing in the world.
well, is it an East African black rat? or is it a North American albino white rat?
everything dies at some point in time.
Like any other rat. ^ This was the original answer. While for the most part I agree, I just want to add that an albino rats do have impaired eyesight as well as sense of smell. You will notice that your albino rat will engage in head swaying. This helps them see better. Also, your albino rat's eyes are more sensitive to light and damage in general. Polka Dot is my first rat and she is also albino. She's gorgeous and lovely but you can tell when I rearrange her cage, put her someplace she hasn't been, or put her in her ball she does have a very hard time seeing where she's going. Just remember, especially when first bonding with your albino rat, that you need to take things slower than with other rats. Here's more information;
Johnny Albino died in 2011.
Albino Pérez died in 1837.
Albino Pierro died in 1995.
No it doesn't mean it is a lab rat...unless you bought her from a lab? If your rat is white with red eyes this means she is what's known as 'albino' which is a total lack of pigmentation. There are albino examples in almost ALL species including humans! There is nothing wrong with your rat at all, she is just a little bit different :)
