If you experience hives or itching when taking allergy shots contact your doctor immediately and if that isn't an available option because they are closed or too far away, go to an emergency room, or call 911 for an ambulance. Make sure to let them know that you think you are having an allergic reaction to an allergy shot so they no how to treat you in the event you are unconscious when they arrive.
