As far as I know, you CAN'T. While some LCD monitors do have a tv tuner and can process the data coming from the satelite receiver...most can't. If you are in the market for an lcd screen and want to make dual use of it, look for one that includes a component (R, Yb, G) input in addition to the standard VGA connection. You can however, use any monitor be it LCD or CRT as a tv if you have something like an AverMedia tv tuner (stand-alone tv tuner that will decode tv signal from your satellite box). There are some LCD monitors that do have multiple inputs, and are meant to be used as Computer Monitors as well as TVs. Good luck
When you purchase an LED monitor TV, you will be getting two items in one. This is a great way to save money. If it is hooked up to your computer, it can be a computer monitor. If it is hooked up to your cable box, it will provide you with television channels. This is something that you should purchase if you need to have both items and you know that you can only afford one.
Yes, most newer televisions can be hooked up to be used as a monitor. You will have to look at your video card and display, to make sure these are adequate.
Yes, why not?
What you will need is to go out and buy a cable that is designed to be hooked onto your computer and the back of your tv. Once its hooked on your have to go to display settings and change which monitor is used as your main monitor, choose your tv or what ever and it will be set to come up like that
There are many reasons. Here are a few in no specific order: 1) the computer is off 2) the computer is in standby 3) the computer is in screen saver mode 4) the computer is in hibernate mode 5) the video card the monitor is hooked up to is not the primary video controller (check BIOS/CMOS settings, hook the monitor to the other video controller till you fix the issue) 6) there is something wrong with the computer (power supply, video card, RAM, motherboard, processor) and the computer is not POSTing. 7) the monitor isn't hooked up to the video card, check the connector 8) the computer is in a resolution or refresh rate that is too high for the monitor. Boot in safe mode and adjust the resolution and/or refresh rates. 9) the monitor cable is broken internally. 10) the monitor itself is defective. To eliminate the monitor itself as the cause of the problem, hook it up to a known working system. If it works, look at issues 1-8. Otherwise, probably time for a new monitor.
It should turn off automatically if you plug it into your computer and turn the computer on. If it doesn't, something is wrong. First thing to check is the plug that plugs into the computer for bent pins. Also check the other end of the cable that plugs into the back of the monitor. If the pins are not bent then you will likely need to take it to a shop for repair or replacement.
It looks like you are hooked up to Direct TV satellite
External monitor needs adjustment to eliminate tint.
A wireless monitor is powered the same way as a remote control for your TV is. It is through waves that signal the receiver that the monitor is hooked up to that particular tower.
The Panasonic Viera can be hooked up to a computer through a VGA or USB port.
Yes.
You can use a netbook computer with a USB TV tuner hooked up.
