It sure is living in that hole. I treat possums like any pest and flood the hole with a garden hose during the day when the creature is in there. It drowns. Be sure to fill the hole back in or another possum can move in. Possums eat all kinds of leaves of garden plants and can kill your plants. They especially like to eat morning glory leaves. They also kill and eat chickens and almost any small animal they can sink their teeth into. They are nocturnal and are rarely seen during the day. They prefer living near a lake, pond, swamp or stream. They will attack and kill puppies and kittens and they can climb bushes and trees to kill roosting birds at night. They are almost as bad as racoons and foxes. Don't be fooled by their looks; they are killers and garden destroyers.
Something must be wrong with you! why would you drown an animal that certainly does not do half of what you report.... go to school
Sorry to dispute your answer as well., but I have photos of a wild possum sitting next to my cat .. both eating and not even the slightest bit worried about the other. And mind you...this is a HUGE possum. And he lives in an old armadillo burrow by my porch steps. I have seen a couple of possums together on my porch. They don't bother me and I enjoy watching them. I also have raccoons coming by...It is a good thing to appreciate nature...we are, after all, mammals too....
A groundhog would hog as much ground as a groundhog COULD if a groundhog could hog ground.
As much ground as a groundhog could if a groundhog could hog ground!
The exact same amount of wood, that a woodchuck would chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood or 3
Actually, he can hog the entire earth, for about 2 to 6 more weeks, if he is already scared of his own shadow.About as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood....A groundhog could hog as much ground as a groundhog could if a groundhog could hog ground. I assume this because it has been determined that, "a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood."AnswerIf a groundhog could hog ground, it would depend on many factors;1. The territorialness of said groundhog,2. The amount of wood that a woodchuck could chuck, and the size of the area that the aforementioned wood lands in,3. The mental ability of said groundhog,4. As said on QuestionSwap: about 5 iambic pentameters,5. It depends if a hog is already hogging the aforementioned ground that the groundhog wishes to hogAnswerAbout as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.Answer:A groundhog can hog as much ground as it wants. Sure the forest animals and people would be pretty angry with the groundhog hogging ground, but he could hog as much ground as he wanted.
If the groundhog drank it, it could kill it. Just getting it wet with bleach is not likely to do it.
the groundhog looks out his hole , if he sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter.
They could well have a better command of English than you!
Groundhog Day is a fun tradition. It has no basis in fact, but it is a fun sort of tradition. It could have been any animal, but why not let the groundhog have a claim to one day of the year?
Not normally, but opossum's could have been turned loose or escaped into the wild from their owners. Otherwise you will be hard pressed to find any in Idaho or Utah.
it is a European "culture" and people follow it here because we have descendants over in usa. the groundhog symbolizes the changing of winter into spring. this year the groundhog saw its shadow, so 6 more weeks of winter! i could live with that(:
it could be a rabbit, groundhog, or even a dog
i think a good name for a groundhog would be. . . . spike pointy ouch (LOL) . and the gender could be whatever you want
