There is no difference between the two. A Graphics Processing Unit is a Graphics Processing unit whether it is in a Xbox 360 or otherwise. Now, the question here is could it be interfaced with modern computers. Probably not. Not knowing which interface the XBox 360 uses, I could not answer that, but it is probably not PCIExpressx16...
the xbox does not play xbox 360 games but some xbox games can be played on the xbox 360 Because the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is not powerful enough in the Original xbox to run xbox 360 games as the graphics for 360 games are too good for the GPU in the original xbox to handle
The xbox 360 typically red rings when the cpu (or gpu, cant remember which) over heats. It does this to prevent the cpu/gpu from destroying itslef. This usually occurs if the cooling fans somehow fail or the protective thermal paste that is around the gpu/cpu starts to lose it heat protection.
Jasper is the latest chipset in the Xbox 360. Specifically the Arcade model. It is a 45 nm CPU and GPU and consumes very little power thus keeping the system cooler and avoiding the dreaded RRoD.
The GTX 480 is a bout 5 years ahead of the Graphics card inside the xbox 360, which apparently uses a modified 7800 GTX. The GTX 480 is alot more powerful than the Xbox-360s gpu.
Overheating, problems in GPU, problems in powerbrick, etc. But mostly just overheating. Set your Xbox vertically for more air, or put a fan on it to prevent it.
The same thing the old heatsink did. distrabute the heat away from the CPU and GPU to help avoid overheatind
When the Xbox 360 was released, more than half was over heating and causing it to create a 3 red light of death. This means that the GPU has over heated, or that is what its trying to say. Apart from that, the xbox doesnt have problems. Of course, you will get the odd one with a broken disk drive or something.
Strictly speaking, the Xbox 360 has a more powerful GPU. Without game optimisation the Xbox 360 is more graphically powerful. However, when developers utilise the PS3's Cell CPU to boost graphical assets, the achievable graphical quality on the PS3 is quite a bit higher than that of the Xbox 360 -linustechtips
It can't.
They have the heat sink over them because they get hot. If you separated the GPU and CPU and had separate heatsinks, the production cost would increase.
The Jasper xbox 360 is more reliable than any other chipset ever used in the Xbox 360. If you want to know look on the back it should say 12,1A 5 volts. The Jasper xbox is better because instead of 90 nanometer GPU and 65 nanometer CPU like the Falcon motherboard, it uses both 65 nanometer, allowing for better energy use and cooler temperatures. I would not use an intercooler for a jasper xbox 360, simply because they are unreliable.
Do not play the Xbox 360 for a huge amount of time, this will overheat the GPU. You may want to buy a cooler, some people say this helps to cool down the Xbox. Place your console in a open area, this is because air can get to the xbox and the xbox can release its hot air without any bounce back.
