I have found many posts from a Google search where people have had numbness on the tip of the tongue after anesthesia, and I am also experiencing it after 5 days. I didn't have a shot in my tongue; I had an IV, and nothing in my mouth, so I found it very strange. Others have had it with an operation that was in no way connected to the mouth, some had masks or other breating apparatus, but I had neither.
Phlebitis is a term that means inflammation of a blood vessel. Phlebitis occurs quite commonly after the insertion of an IV. This can occur any where from 2.5% to 45% or more, when an IV is used. There is a wide variation because it depends on how phlebitis is defined, such as the place the IV is inserted, the duration that the IV has been in place, the type of material that the IV is made of, the length of the IV catheter, and on the existence of other disorders, such as Diabetes. If you continue to feel pain and have swelling for more than three weeks you should connect with your physician.
Why is my lip and cheek still numb where my tooth was extracted, 3 weeks after novocain wore off?
I had a tuble reversal in jun fell preg in July and misscarred at four weeks could this be cause of the surgery and residual gasses left over
The toe has been numb for 3 days but hasnt changed color. I'm 30 weeks pregnant if that's relevant.
Anesthesia cannot affect you that far away from the surgery. The longest anesthesia can potentially affect you is for two weeks after the procedure.?æThe problems are most likely stemming from something else.
A complete healing of tongue piercing can take up to 4 weeks.
two weeks! defiantly wanna avoid a yeast infection on your tongue!
Because your tongue is really sensitive it only takes about 1-2 weeks.
This is probably late, but ice it right after you get it pierced. Don't suck on the ice, just let it melt on your tongue. Sucking it will make your tongue swell more. Try not to talk as much cause that makes your tongue swell as well. And try not to eat solid foods. Good luck! I got mine pierced a month ago and I love it now... Sure, it's a pain for the first two weeks but it's all good after like 3 weeks.
I am not sure but I am 12 weeks 2 days and I get numb at the top of my right leg when I am trying to sleep it is quite annoying!
That is not a good idea, because your piercing is still in the healing process. If you take it out it is possible that you can still get an infection. The infection can get trapped inside your tongue and cause BIG problems.. wait until it is fully healed (4-6 weeks) before taking it out
A good two weeks. If you take it out too soon your tongue may get swollen and your hole will close
At least 4-8 weeks
