Hello, all you need to do is sign up for DSL or Cable internet access. You'll then purchase (or they will supply you with) a wireless router. You'll set it up and then any computer in your home with a wireless adapter (802.11 or Airport) will be able to pick it up and connect to the internet. If you are concerned about nearby neighbors using your internet then be sure to password protect the router.

If you want to have cable or phone modem (internet, in order to use wireless internet you still need a provider) you need to have a contract with one of internet providers. The only exception is mobile phones with internet feature activated (I'm not sure if you can connect a wireless router to it).
