Routing was design to avoid broadcasting. It basically means that when you establish connection with remote computer you send messages only to the computer and nobody else.

Broadcasting is opposite to routing, and it was design to explore networks around you. When you send a broadcast signal you send to everybody in the specified network.

Is routing better or broadcasting in wireless networks?

They are both required, but some cases broadcasting has to be avoided, for instance, in the case when you are trying to establish connection with remote computer to check your bank account.

What is difference between static and alternate routing in a circuit switching network?

Static routing is fixed, alternative routing is dynamic and therefore adaptive. If a primary route is fails, static routing will not adapt and routing is lost. However, alternative routing will dynamically change in order to maintain routing.

Are there any companies that have a seminar I can take to learn about bridges and routers?

Cisco has plenty of technical seminars on routing technology. Microsoft also holds discussions on the state of NAT, DPI, black hole routing and other routing topics.

What is the difference between interior and exterior routing protocols?

Interior routing protocols are used to communicate within a single autonomous system. Exterior routing protocols are used to communicate between multiple autonomous systems.

What is dynamic routing technology?

Dynamic routing is a networking technique that provides optimal data routing. Unlike static routing, dynamic routing enables routers to select paths according to real-time logical network layout changes. In dynamic routing, the routing protocol operating on the router is responsible for the creation, maintenance and updating of the dynamic routing table. In static routing, all these jobs are manually done by the system administrator. Dynamic routing uses multiple algorithms and protocols. The most popular are Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).

Can two wireless router be used on the same home network?

yes and no. id suggest using one of the wireless routers as the internet connection. and with the other, turn off all the routing and dhcp/dns features and just use it's wireless access point.

Why routing is required in wireless sensor networks?

Since, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) might differ depending on the application and network architecture. Moreover, nodes are dynamically deployed. Hence, data transmission through these types of nodes need a perfect route selection where nodes should remain active. So, routing is necessary for WSN.

What routing protocol is most commonly used to manage routing between Internet Service Providers ISPs?

BGP is always used as the routing protocol of choice between ISPs (external BGP) but also as the core routing protocol within large ISP networks (internal BGP).
