I am a person who is using only p2p software ARES for downloading videos since years and i use no other software because i can say nothing is better than it. the Reasons are that the large number of search results and downloads starts easily and download many videos at one time and even if you pause a download and exit ares and after you restart ares, the file will remain paused and you can resume it from there. also very few viruses i got from it. only problem is the lastest version of ares won't download files that much and only the old versions do, i don't know y. so now i am just thinking to try something else which is free and best for video downloads like this and Not TORRENTS.
So can you please tell me, especially a person with very good p2p usage experiance, if there is any other free software that can beat Ares in all these respects. and i don't know why this Limewire or pro is so popular, since i find absolutely nothing useful. it has very less search resluts and downloads few files only and low speed. i didn't also find bearshare and few others very attractive when i used it years back.
and also does any one knows, if you install security updates for windows, will it affect the speed of p2p softwares or bring it up and down like how it is doing to my ares since few days. if yes, which security update should i remove? please help me with all the questions.
