Non-steroidal Anti-inflamotories (NSAIDS) such as aspirin and ibuprophen can slightly supress the effectiveness of clotting platelets in the blood. In a person with weak blood vessel walls in the nose, who is already prone to nosebleeds, NSAIDS could make the problem worse. But in the general population, this effect is negiligible.

Great, I guess that means my half dozen doctors and platelet count was wrong , Does that mean my 10 days in ICU, my one month in rehab, my loss of approximately one half the area of my brain,my paralysis, my seizures potential, my loss of my license, my unilateral neglect ( loss of awareness of the left side of the world) at age 55 wasn't due to Aspirin use causing a massive brain bleed after all. Does that mean they will all just go away now?

∙ 12y agoI've been wondering that myself. It's summer in Tennessee with high humidity so you would think the extra moisture would help prevent nose bleeds. I was just sitting here and my nose just started bleeding for no apparent reason.

Either way, I would advise you to be more careful with your dog from now on. If it happens again or any other worrying symptoms appear, go see a vet, it could be more serious if nose bleeds or other abnormal bleeding happen often. Another reason for nose bleeds can be Aspirin, so if you give your dog anything like this, I'd suggest stopping.
