Yes. Its also fun to watch them go into their fighting position! Its the best way to keep two fighting fish. Another way though, is to keep them in a small tank with a plastic divider in the middle so that they can see each other but not get to the them.
probably not.they are fighting fish, they might fight each other.hope this helps! *tea98*
No! they will most likely fight to the death. also its way two small
both fish may eat the fish eggs, so i suggest you place the eggs in a small bowl or glass of water that you fill from the betta's tank. also, female and male bettas can e together. it is just the same gender that fight. So, you can put both bettas together and keep the eggs in the now vagant tank.
None. The 1 gallon bowl is already too small for the betta by itself.
Not for very long. Male and female bettas fight when in the same tank or bowl. They can be placed together briefly for mating purposes.
I am no expert, but believe that betas are solitary and prefer to have a fish bowl to themselves.
It's best to only put male and female betta fish in the same tank/bowl if you are breeding them. If they are not breeding and they still stay in the same area, the male would most likely attack the female, so keep the female away! Also, if you are breeding betta fish, make sure to remove the female betta after she lays her eggs, as the male will care for them and chase the female away.
If you want your betta fish to live a long time you have to take care of it properly. Clean out the water in the bowl once a week or if it starts to look cloudy(also when you clean the bowl, clean the rocks and fake plants). Bettas like plants to hide in and feel safe, so it's important to get a plant. Don't ever put two male bettas in a bowl together because they will fight and kill one another. You can put a male and female betta together, they might not like one another, but they should be fine together. You can also put several female bettas together in a bowl and they will be perfectly fine. Remember to feed your betta a little bit each day and if they finish what you gave them you can feed them a little bit more, but don't over feed a lot because it can make them sick.
You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta. You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta. You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta.
it depends on how small the bowl is betta fish usually dont grow larger then 3 or 4 inches
Lots of things can happen! She can jump out of her bowl, fall while being placed back in her bowl, get one of the many diseases that bettas get (Pop eye, cloud eye, Tail rot etc.), she can be p;aced in a bowl with another betta and fight... What are the symptoms that you are seeing in your betta? When you find out, start a new question, explaining better. Natalie01
a betta bowl is about 12-15 inches in length and about the same in height
Yes and no. Yes because they can comunicate and they will try to impress each other and that gives them exercise. No because you male might try to jump in your females bowl, but that probably won't happen. But it is better to keep there bowls beside each other because it is good for them.
Yes they will. Male Bettas will fight if they are in the same aquarium with another male Betta. Other than by separating them, there is nothing that can be done to stop them fighting. They have evolved over millions of years to do this. A Male Betta is OK with all other species of fish but he will fight another male Betta on sight. He will attack and kill a female Betta too if she doesn't spawn with him. Even if she does spawn with him, she will be killed as soon as spawning is over if she is not removed from his tank. Several female Bettas can be kept together OK. It is only the males that behave that way.
