The COIL PACK TOWERS are numbered : coil---3---4 pack--2---6 plug---1---5
All engines that use a coil pack are pretty much the same. One end of the sparkplug wire connects to sparkplug, the other to the coil pack. Just follow the wires.
With multiple misfires originating from the same coil pack, my guess would be to replace the driver's side coil pack.
Yes, both engines are practically the same bar the distributor and coil pack, but the camshafts are identical
Yes connectors are the same on both sides
I've run into the same problem before. I've been told many of times to just have the car turned on and get a spray water bottle and spray over the coil pack, if you get sparks, you've got a bad coil pack. Either way if you coil pack is faulty, do what I did the smart and cheap way. Go to any hardware store, buy "JB Weld" or some sort of that kind, take out the coil pack, and just fill in whatever cracks you see around the coil pack plug entrance wires.
4.0 L OHV ( VIN " X " ) coil---3----4 pack--2----6-----( COIL PACK TOWERS ) plug--1----5------( located on passenger side of engine ) FRONT OF ENGINE ------------------------------------- 4.0 L SOHC ( VIN " E " ) 5----1--coil 6----2--pack-----( COIL PACK TOWERS ) 4----3--plug------( located on drivers side of the engine ) FRONT OF ENGINE same order on coil pack , coil pack is just turned 180 degrees
If the 92 has the same sideways motor as the 94 3.1 mfi the coil pack is directly below the #2,4,6 plugs on the radiator side of the motor
You can:* Add the same expression to both sides of an equation * Subtract the same expression from both sides * Multiply the same expression (must not be zero) to both sides * Divide both sides by the same expression (must not be zero)

yes they are, just compare them to yours.
They are coil packs not distributors. I suggest you contact your local Ford dealer with this question. I have never seen one with coil packs on both sides of the engine. All I have ever seen have both coil packs on the same side.
